Kaksipäiväinen senioreiden Ryder Cup pelattiin Tawastin ja Aulangon kesken maanantaina-tiistaina 16.-17.9.2024 Everstin kentällä. Kyseessä on supistettu, vain 15 peliä käsittävä tapahtu,a, jossa kummallakin joukkueella on 4+6 pelaajaa. Naisista 2 v 50 sarjasta ja 2 v 70 sarjasta. Miehistä vastaavasti 4 v 50 ja 2 v 70. Ensimmäisenä päivänä pelataan nelipalloa eli parasta palloa kaksihenkisin joukkuein ja toisena päivänä single ottelut eli nainen naista, mies miestä vastaan.
Pelimuotona kaikissa otteluissa on tasoitukseton reikäpeli. Kaikkiaan jaossa on näin ollen 15 pistettä.Tawast on näitä nyt jo ylikymmentätapahtumaa lievästi hallinnut mutta esim toissa vuonna AGK voitti ja viime vuonna peli päättyi tasan, joten kiertopalkinto on ollut aulankolaisten kaapissa parin vuoden ajan. Revanssimielellä siis lähdettiin.
Maanantai näyttikin jo varsin hyvältä kun päivän päätteeksi todettiin meidän johtavan pistein 4-1. Muta jaossaoli vielä 10 pistettä ja kaikki mahdollista. Kaksinpelit ovat aina arvaamattomia, mitä vaan voi tapahtua. Tällä kertaa meidän onneksi tapahtui vain positiivisia asioita. Päivä päättyi meille luvuin 6-4 ja koko ottelu siis 10-5.
